$240,000 For Luke Skywalkers Lightsaber

Some children may be desperate to get their hands on a star wars ultimate lightsaber toy for Christmas. One star wars fan has just spent  $240,000 to get the his hands on the real thing: Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber!

Last Thursday, the prop that Mark Hamill used in the first two movies of the original “Star Wars” trilogy was sold as part of an auction of Hollywood memorabilia by Profiles in History in Los Angeles.

The auction featured other iconic props, costumes, special effects creations, scripts and posters.
